Massimo relates the story of the family's misfortunes to the children, and he just may hold the key to removing the curse, or will he pass it on to them?

Jean Devaivre (Jacques Gamblin) wrote screenplays for French films while Jean Aurenche (Denis Podalydes) worked for the Germans as an assistant director for propaganda films. Both lives are celebrated for the creativity exerted under the circumstances.
