| | Hammer Horror at its best | Sadie 07/28/2007 | | Dead Silence Is a horror thrill ride unlike anyother...It proves once a gain that you can make a scary movie without unlimited gore, granted there is a little. It sets an atmosphere parelleled by none. Its a genuinly scary movie with a strong cast. Wan and Whenell out did themselves with this genre changeing follow up film worthy of being connected to the saw franchise..although it takes a totally diffrent atmosphere. Its about a young man named Jamie Ashen (Ryan Kwanten) on a search to find out the truth behind a childhood poem adout Mary Shaw (Judith Roberts) when he believes it is connected to the death of his wife Lisa Ashen (laura Regan) he returns to his childhood home Of Ravensfair...a town plauged with painful memories and and a dark secret. All the while being followed by sarcastic Detective Lipton (Donnie Wahlburg). Jamie may have stumbled into somthing bigger than he had ever expected.....you scream, you die. |
