Misfit Bobby (Corey Feldman) has a crush on Lainie (Meredith Salenger). Meanwhile, high-school teacher Coleman (Jason Robards) is working on an experiment to enable his and his wife's, Gena (Piper Laurie), minds to be swapped with younger bodies. When Bobby has a bicycle accident while cutting across Coleman's yard, both his and Lainie's minds are swapped with Coleman's and Gena's. But Bobby won't allow Coleman to swap him back to normal until Coleman helps fix Bobby's screwed-up life.
