Based on Gypsy Rose Lee's novel, "The G-String Murders," this is a witty drama about striptease artist Dixie Daisy (Barbara Stanwyck) who performs at a Broadway theater in the 1930s. Dixie fends off advances from comedian Biff Brannigan (Michael O'Shea) and tries to steer clear of dressing room feuds–notably between Dolly Baxter (Gloria Dickson) and Lolita La Verne (Victoria Faust). When two of the strippers are strangled, Biff and Dixie set off in search of the killer's identity and fall in love with each other in the process.
