Grandpa Spencer (Mickey Rooney) was a World War I flying ace and is now 93 years old and sits in a wheelchair. His grandson, Jimmy (Tobey Maguire), needs help. Jimmy owns a model triplane that is possessed by that infamous World War I Red Baron (voice of John C. McDonnell) who is now shooting real bullets. Who does Jimmy turn to? Why, Grandpa, of course, because he is the one who shot down the real Red Baron during the war.
