In this early Western film, gold prospector Roy Glenister (Gary Cooper) meets and falls in love with Helen (Kay Johnson) while voyaging to the Yukon. When Glenister arrives in Alaska, his partners Slapjack Simms and Joe Dextry (Slim Summerville and James Kirkwood) inform him that they are in danger of losing their mine because U.S. marshal Voorhees (Jack Holmes), Judge Stillman (Lloyd Ingraham), and politician Alec McNamara (William "Stage" Boyd) are conspiring to gain ownership of the mines in the area. Helen suggests that they take the matter to court, but that turns out to be impossible. Finally, Glenister takes matters into his own hands and whips McNamara in a powerful fistfight. 1 User Review
