They track down Sarah so they can end the game. Special effects are amazing as animatronic and computer-generated wild animals thunder through the house and town until the game is finished.

Peter is leading the life of a normal student–until he goes on a school trip and is bitten by a genetically altered spider. Now, Peter finds that he has unusual powers. But, using those powers is not that easy, and Peter does not make use of his new talent when a burgular murders Uncle Ben. Then Peter remembers that Uncle Ben told him, "With great power, there must also come great responsibility." That's what it takes, and now Peter uses those extraordinary powers to fight crime. However, the Green Goblin (Willem Dafoe) is out there ready to stop any of Peter's good deeds.

Add to this Peter's former best friend, Harry Osborn (James Franco), who has been training for revenge against Spider-Man because he blames Spider-Man for his father's death. And, as if this was not enough, freelance photographer Eddie Brock (Topher Grace) is plotting to take Peter's job at the Daily Bugle. But, Eddie/the New Goblin is transformed into Venom after coming in contact with an alien goo that also permeates the Spider-Man costume and brings out the dark side of Peter. And finally, Peter's romance with Mary Jane Watson (Kirsten Dunst) continues down its tumultuous road.
