Beautiful American scenes and patriotic music emphasize the theme of this film about patriotism and tie together the stories that are interwoven in a tribute to the American spirit. Among the stories is the saga of a Vietnamese refuge (Jane Le) who is befriended by her American classmates and, later becomes a successful businesswoman. Another tale involves Brazilian immigrant Carlos (Michael Barreta) who, with help from Mr. Moretti (Jonathan Banks), rises in the restaurant business and then joins the Navy Seals. Carlos is injured in the line of duty and begins a new, productive life as a wheelchair athlete. And the stories continue as they celebrate the spirit of American citizens.
