Professor Phillip (Terence Stamp) conducts experiments with chimpanzees–assisted by zoology student Jane (Elisabeth Shue)–in his old mansion. Link, the mild mannered butler, is an orangutan. When the good professor disappears, Link starts to get aggressive, and things begin to happen. One thing that happens is that the film goes downhill fast.
