One day, Casey finds a book "Holcroft's Book of the Dead: Volume 1" in a bookstore and steals it. She uses the book's information on spells to try to resurrect her mother. Casey performs the ceremony but is interrupted and makes a mistake. As a result, instead of resurrecting her mother, Casey brings to life a beautiful fashion doll "Eve" that she had been given for her birthday.
