Nearly 20 years after the first "Dirty Dozen" was filmed, this story begins when Maj. Gen. Warden (Ernest Borgnine) orders Major John Reisman (Lee Marvin) on another mission. Convicts–the Dirty Dozen–are again rounded up and, this time, led by Reisman to parachute behind enemy lines during World War II in order to kill a Nazi general and foil his plot to assassinate Hitler. You'll have to watch the film to understand why they would be ordered to do that!

The report comes back that he is fantastic, which starts a series of problems. Three years on the shelf didn't improve this so-so comedy.

He promotes violent efforts by the police against the Bronx citizens, and Murphy tries to convince his superiors that police violence will not solve the problems. After fellow police officer Morgan (Danny Aiello) kills a street kid, Murphy and the other officers are told to ignore the brutal act. Murphy cannot abide by the directive and, as a result, becomes an outcast on the police force. This story is based on true experiences.
