Fresh out of reform school, Billy Maloney (Rick Schroder) starts life anew at a different high school. But he is still influenced by his drug dealing friends from the past–until his brother, Joe (Brad Pitt), convinces him to join the track team. It doesn't take Billy long before he proves superior to Joe in the track world, and jealousies rise to the fore. Now it is Joe who needs saving, and "black sheep" Billy steps in to save the day.
