Halloweentown's hero, Jack Skellington (voice of Chris Sarandon, singing voice of Danny Elfman), takes a walk in the woods and enters a tree that is the doorway to Christmastown. Jack is overwhelmed with the good will he finds and now wants to take over Christmas by kidnapping Santa (voice of Edward Ivory) and do Christmas as only Halloweentown can. They capture Santa, but boogeyman Oogie Boogie (voice of Ken Page) re-captures Santa along with Jack's girlfriend Sally (voice of Catherine O'Hara), which leads to an inevitable confrontation.   I also grew up watching this movie and would love to own it. To let everyone know, Disney has never released this movie onto VHS or DVD. It was only ever shown on TV. If you go to the Disney website, there is a section where you can submit your email to be notified when they do release it. Maybe if they get enough requests, they will finally make it available.
