Frank and Diane are now charged with murder. In an effort to sway the jury, Diane's lawyer (Leon Ames) suggests Diane and Frank marry, they do, and are acquitted. After being freed, Frank realizes that he cannot be married to a murderess and tells Diane that he is leaving her. Not a good move because Diane now puts the car into reverse, they fall over a cliff, and hurtle to their deaths.

Captain Patrick Hendry (Kenneth Tobey) accidentally explodes the UFO ship, but The Thing remains frozen in ice. An electric blanket is used to thaw The Thing, but it escapes and goes on a rampage.
