Stewart is great as the slow-moving, but cunning, lawyer and received an Oscar nomination for his performance; other nominations included Best Picture and two nominations for Supporting Actor (George C. Scott and Arthur O'Connell).

  I'm one of the fortunate few to have taped this fil off TV in the 1980's. A great film, one of the best ever made and unfortunately, never publicly released. Would love to find a clearer copy. But since I got it off film and at High speed, It's pretty good.
