Michael (Jet Li) was once a member of a test project for a government experiment to create superhuman men and women. The project was abandoned, and Michael now works as a Hong Kong librarian and uses the name, Simon. When gang murders take place that have the markings of his former comrades in the experiment, Michael dons a Black Mask and fights the villains. The action scenes are superb.
