Then, Chan Ka Kui's girlfriend May (Maggie Cheung) arrives on the scene, and Chan Ka Kui's cover is blown. The criminals kidnap May and force Chan Ka Kui to come to their aid. This film has stunts galore (all of Chan's are performed by himself).

A policeman (Tony Leung Kar-Fai) goes undercover in a prison to get the goods on a possibly corrupt warden. He finds that the warden fakes executions of inmates and then has them trained as assassins.

When her daughter comes for a visit, Charlie helps the lady make a good impression while also fighting off a rival gang and the authorities. The action is toned down by the warm side story.

But just when they become devoted to the baby, the triad closes in. The men decide that the only place the baby will be safe is with his parents, and they must return the baby to the security of his family.
