This animated story takes place in the land of Jhamora, which is shared by the dinosaur/humanoid Lochnis and the winged Nohren fairies. All is not peaceful in Jhamora, but a truce has existed since the Nohrens moved to Jhamora after ruining their own land. Now, problems rise to the fore when the wicked, exiled Nohren Empress Sedessa (voice of Anne Bancroft) plots to escalate hostilities between the two groups so that she can reclaim her rule. Meanwhile, Lockni teenager Delgo (voice of Freddie Prinze Jr.) has formed a forbidden friendship with Nohren Princess Kyla (Jennifer Love Hewitt), but he is falsely imprisoned. Now, Delgo joins forces with his friend Filo (voice of Chris Kattan) and his sworn enemy Bogtarrus (voice of Val Kilmer) in an effort to foil Sedessa's plot.

This 3-D film is about three young houseflies–Nat (voice of Trevor Gagnon), Scooter (voice of David Gore), and I.Q. (voice of Philip Bolden)–who are stowaways on Apollo 11's first manned space mission to the Moon. They got the idea from their Grandpa (voice of Christopher Lloyd) who had told them stories about when he stowed away on Amelia Earhart's Trans-Atlantic flight. As they board the spaceship, Nat, Scooter, and I.Q. encounter problems when they are discovered and placed in a test tube where they remain until an electrical short interferes with the ship's engine. They escape the tube and repair the faulty wire. All goes well for awhile–until the Russians send fly-spy Yegor (voice of Tim Curry) to sabotage the flight in an effort to prevent the Americans from returning to Earth. Will Yegor succeed, or will Nat, Scooter, and I.Q. come to the rescue?

Buck Howard (John Malkovich) is an illusionist whose show business career is on the down slope. He is hoping for a comeback when he hires law school dropout Troy Gable (Colin Hanks) as his road manager. Troy's father (Tom Hanks, Colin's real life father) disapproves of Troy's choice of careers, but Troy sees his job as a new beginning. Troy tries to deal with Buck's large ego and manages to hold his own when Buck exhibits tantrums. Buck has also hired Valerie Brennan (Emily Blunt) as his new publicist with hopes that she will stage his comeback, and Valerie does not hesitate to tell Buck exactly what she is thinking. Meanwhile, Valerie exhibits a sexual interest in Troy. Despite Buck's downsides, he does teach Tony lessons about life and the importance of being true to yourself.
