Richie wishes he had not been born, but the wish is overheard by Professor Keanbean's (Eugene Levy) wish machine and he is taken back in time. He finally succeeds in getting back and making Christmas better for everyone.

  Following her divorce, Carly Norris (Sharon Stone) finds a new apartment in a needle-shaped structure. Carly meets new neighbors–author Jack Lansford (Tom Berenger) and her landlord Zeke Hawkins (William Baldwin)–who are both attracted to her, and she begins an affair with Zeke. Carly learns that women in the apartment building have been killed and that the police suspect that a serial killer is responsible. When Carly discovers that Zeke has secretly wired the apartments and watches the activities of the tenants, she suspects him as the killer but, at the same time, becomes obsessed with the lives of her neighbors. Is Carly setting herself up to be the next victim?
