Tom Cruise again stars as government agent Ethan Hunt who sets out on another impossible mission. This time, he is recruited by the new IMF chief Commander Swanbeck (Anthony Hopkins) to destroy a deadly virus that has been hijacked by the evil IMF agent, Sean Ambrose (Dougray Scott). Hunt recruits Ambrose's ex-lover Nyah Nordoff-Hall (Thandie Newton) to help infiltrate Ambrose's terrorist group. Complications ensue–especially after Hunt falls in love with Nyah.
