Edward is attracted to Peg's daughter Kim (Winona Ryder) whose boyfriend Jim (Anthony Michael Hall) is a bully. Other stories involve Diana (Robin Wright Penn) running into an old boyfriend, cancer patient Camilla (Kathy Baker) preparing for surgery, teenage Samantha (Amanda Seyfried) caring for her invalid father, and Sonia (Holly Hunter) who is upset with her cheating boyfriend. Good acting.
