Near Dark   1987     3 stars    R, 95 min.

Cast: Adrian Pasdar, Jenny Wright, Lance Henriksen, Bill Paxton, Jenette Goldstein, Tim Thomerson, Joshua John Miller, Marcie Leeds, Kenny Call, Ed Corbett, Bill Cross, Troy Evans, Thomas Wagner, Roger Aaron Brown, Robert Winley

Caleb (Adrian Pasdar), a farm boy in the Southwest, meets Mae (Jenny Wright) in a hangout. She turns out to be a vampire and bites Caleb so that he can be part of the "family." But, Caleb must prove himself to the others of the clan–which he does. A good film that presents a "modern-day" vampire story as they roam around in their van. Could this be the first vampire "Road" picture?
