Blane does ask her to the Senior Prom, but then his friends tease him about his choice for a date.

They even get a chance for revenge against the youngsters that shot the car's radiator. The only thing saving this dull tale is the soundtrack that is packed with popular rock songs of the day.

He did not tell his son, John (Tim Daly), about the trip, and John is determined to track down his father and son. But he must remember the old stories told by "Pop Up" in order to figure out where his father and son are.
