Manicurist Valerie Dale (Geena Davis) dumps her cheating fiancee Dr. Ted Gallagher (Charles Rocket). Then, three aliens–Mac (Jeff Goldblum,), Wiploc (Jim Carrey), and Zeebo (Damon Wayans)–land in her swimming pool, and she brings them into her salon for complete makeovers. They emerge as handsome dudes, and Valerie falls for Mac. A zany weekend ensues, and now Valerie must decide between Mac and Ted, who now wants her back. Appealing in an offbeat way.
