Celine claims that she is the nanny to Madlyn (Nathalie Asnar) whose widower father, Olivier (Barbet Schroeder), is being pursued by two women, Sophie (Marie-France Pisier) and Camille (Bulle Ogier). It is beginning to look like Sophie and Camille will stop at nothing to gain Olivier's love, and Celine is trying to shield Madlyn from the tension.
