Titus 1999 R, 102 min. Genre: Drama
Director: Julie Taymor Cast: Anthony Hopkins, Jessica Lange, Laura Fraser, Angus Macfadyen, Alan Cumming, Harry Lennix, Matthew Rhys, Colm Feore, Jonathan Rhys-Meyers, James Frain
Shakespeare's first (and bloodiest) tragedy "Titus Andronicus" is brought to the screen in excellent fashion with a good cast and director–though some may disagree with the liberties taken by Director Taymor. Titus (Anthony Hopkins), though great in battle, cannot cope with forces that destroy his family.
