Errol Flynn is definitely at his swashbuckling best as 1850s' British pirate Geoffrey Thorpe leads the Sea Hawk pirates on raids and captures more than 50 Spanish ships. In the process, he learns that the Spanish are planning to attack England and have placed spies in Queen Elizabeth's (Flora Robson) court. But, Elizabeth does not approve of Thorpe's pirating tactics and demands that he change his ways. Meanwhile, Thorpe falls in love with Dona Maria (Brenda Marshall), and now he must expose the treachery to save his country and win the love of Dona Maria. 1 User Review
