Although frustrated by problems concerning his heritage, Navaho Native American Black Cloud (Eddie Spears) does have talent as a boxer. His mentor, Bud (Russell Means), tries to steer him to a spot on the U.S. Olympic boxing team, but success or failure hinges on Black Cloud himself learning to accept what is and go on with his life.
