In this sequel to "The Year My Voice Broke", Director and Screenwriter Duigan has again come up with a winner. Awkward, shy Danny (Noah Taylor) is now in boarding school and his questioning attitude challenges conventional wisdom. He falls in love with Ugandan Thandiwe (Thandie Newton), a pretty, smart, and intelligent girl who, like Danny, has a rebellious spirit. This is a wonderful film of the pains of growing up.
