All of his life, 78-year-old Carl Fredricksen (voice of Edward Asner) has dreamed of visiting the wilderness of South America. Carl fulfills that dream when he hitches thousands of balloons to his house and flies away. Too late, Carl discovers that he is not alone on his adventure. A very excited nine-year-old, Russell (voice of Jordan Nagai), has joined Carl on his journey, and now the two of them will experience adventures that will help them understand what life is really about.
