The deal sours when Lolo delivers the wrong CD-ROM to Russian mobster Svoboda (Norman Sotolongo), and greed escalates into flying bullets leaving bodies in their wake.

They move to the big city where they shine as professional players in the sport. Beto gains the nickname Rudo, which means "tough," while Tato's contrasting personality earns him the nickname Cursi, which means "corny." Tato dreams of becoming a famous singer, and his playing style earns him his nickname. Tato seeks celebrity status but doesn't quite reach it, while Beto works hard at soccer but gets involved in gambling and cocaine. The brothers will finally learn what success really means when their soccer teams play each against each other, and they square off on the field.
