A good film directed by Fernando Trueba who also Directed the Academy Award-winning "Belle Epoque."

Blay (Fernando Fernan Gomez) encourages Dani to draw a portrait of young Susana (Aida Folch) who is recovering from tuberculosis. The story unfolds as events from Susana's father's (Eduard Fernandez) life come to the fore when she tells about her father's activities as a spy. By story's end, Dani and Susana are on the verge of a romance with each other.
