But Father is late to arrive as the snowstorm hits, and John-Boy (Richard Thomas) is sent out to locate him. Patricia Neal won a Golden Globe award for Best Actress and an Emmy nomination for her role as the mother. A Golden Globe nomination was also received for best TV movie.
