They form a team and decide to include the Iron Lotus (a maneuver that has only been performed once in the past and resulted in the decapitation of one of the partners). As if this does not cause enough trouble for them, they must also deal with the brother and sister team of champions–Stranz and Fairchild Van Waldenberg (Will Arnett and Amy Poehler)–who are determined to sabotage the Chazz and Jimmy team.

In this animated, family comedy, under-sized penguin Cody Maverick (voice of Shia LaBeouf) doesn't fit in with his penguin family in Antarctica and dreams of becoming a surfer like his idol Big Z (voice of Jeff Bridges). So, Cody hitches a ride on the back of a whale and ends up on a tropical island where he hopes to win the Big Z Memorial Surf Off. But, the bully Tank Evans (voice of Diedrich Bader) humiliates Cody during the contest. When Cody wipes out, he is rescued by lifeguard Lani (voice of Zooey Deschanel) who introduces him to her Uncle Geek who, it turns out, is really Big Z. Now, Big Z trains Cody for the next surfing competition, and Cody has a chance of getting his act together. The film received an Academy Award nomination for Best Animated Feature.
