  The Gangster era of the 1920s is depicted by children, dressed in pinstriped suits and flapper dresses, who use "splat guns" that spurt cream in preparation for a "cream massacre."   I first saw this movie when it came out in 1976....I was friends with Alan Parkers' daughter at the time...I learned every song by heart and pretended thta I was Tahlulah....great musical for kids

When Driscoll and Grace enter into a romantic affair, Alan watches and lives vicariously through their actions.
