  Mark Harmon takes on the role of bank robber John Dillinger in this version that takes liberties with the story while looking at Dillinger's personal relationships as he lives life on the edge. After his prison sentence is completed, Dillinger is determined to never again serve time while he continues his illegal activities. He does get arrested again but escapes and has plastic surgery to disguise himself. J. Edgar Hoover (Vince Edwards) is determined to capture him, and Dillinger is betrayed by his girlfriend Billie's (Sherilyn Fenn) landlady, which leads to the Feds ending his life outside Chicago's Biograph Theater. Look quickly for Lawrence Tierney–who played Dillinger 1945 film–as a sheriff gunned down by Dillinger's gang.
