Good Technicolor scenery and direction make this "High Noon"-style film enjoyable. It is also thought to be a statement concerning "McCarthyism," the Communist witch-hunt conducted by Senator Joe McCarthy during this time period that affected the movie industry.

Predictable film noir, but good use of Technicolor to set the mood (and show off the redheads).
