In this adaptation of the classic story, veteran actor Billy Barty takes on the role of Rumpelstiltskin who helps young Katie (Amy Irving) spin straw into gold in order to marry Prince Henry (John Moulder-Brown). Katie spins the straw and makes gold, but when Katie has a baby, Rumpelstiltskin kidnaps the infant and tells her that she can have the baby back only if she guesses his name.
