When he is released, he thinks he now knows what Linda wants.

When Beckman's (Judge Reinhold) T-bird is damaged by locals in a small Arizona town, he and Johnny (Willem Dafoe), a hitchhiker that Beckman had picked up, check out the town while the car is being repaired. They even get a chance for revenge against the youngsters that shot the car's radiator. The only thing saving this dull tale is the soundtrack that is packed with popular rock songs of the day.
