The trail leads to a traveling circus whose assistant manager Kamal (Louis Jourdan) outbids Bond for the egg. Now, Bond follows Kamal to India where he meets beautiful circus leader Octopussy (Maud Adams) who uses the circus as the cover for her smuggling operations. Through his association with Octopussy, Bond figures out that the crazed Russian General Orlov (Steven Berkoff) is raising needed money by selling fake Faberge eggs to get needed money to pay for his plot to detonate a nuclear bomb in order to cripple Europe and defeat NATO.
