The Trouble with Harry   1955     3 and a half stars    PG, 100 min.
Genre: Comedy
Director: Alfred Hitchcock
Cast: Shirley MacLaine, John Forsythe, Edmund Gwenn, Mildred Natwick, Mildred Dunnock, Jerry Mathers, Royal Dano, Barry Macollum, Parker Fennelly

Young Arnie (Jerry Mathers) discovers the corpse of Harry in a Vermont woods. He goes home and tells his mother (Shirley MacLaine) who recognizes Harry as her ex-husband and thinks she is responsible because she hit him with a bottle. Meanwhile, a hunter (Edmund Gwenn), also spots Harry and thinks he shot him while hunting. Others also believe they are the ones who are responsible for his death. To ensure that the authorities do not discover the body, the villagers get together and bury Harry. The trouble with Harry is that he is a corpse that just does not stay buried, and his body keeps popping up around town. Alfred Hitchcock, in a change for him, shows comic genius in directing this comedy. The film marks Shirley MacLaine's film debut.
