  The only thing even beginning to save this flick is the grandeur of such places as the Rockies and the Alps. Though the John Denver musical score is ok, the story line of boy (John Eaves) loving and chasing girl (Suzy Chaffee) around the ski slopes is too much.

  This made-for-TV film was adapted from a Broadway play with Jessica Tandy and Hume Cronyn recreating their stage roles. Annie and Hector Nations live in a remote mountain home. When Hector dies, Annie struggles to retain her independence–with the help of Hector, who returns in her mind and offers both advice and encouragement. Tandy won an Emmy for her performance.

  The reason for success of this film is because George Burns does a great job in the role of God, and John Denver is believable as the typical man on the street.
