Meanwhile, Joe's marriage falls apart, and Joe enters into a love affair with Lord's wife Alex (Nanette Newman). And Joe's problems continue.

Now, Tess goes to work on a dairy farm where she falls in love with Angel Clare (Peter Firth), but more problems lie ahead.
