  This is a remake of the 1955 film starring Humphrey Bogart. This time around, Mickey Rourke plays the role of the escaped convict who holds a family hostage. With help from his lawyer, Nancy Breyers (Kelly Lynch), Bosworth (Rourke) escapes from jail and holds the Cornells–Tim (Anthony Hopkins) and Nora (Mimi Rogers) and their family–hostage in their home. FBI agent Brenda Chandler (Lindsay Crouse) is on Bosworth's trail and uses Breyers as the lead she needs to find Bosworth.
