This was Steve McQueen's first break and is still a fun movie to watch.

Katharine Hepburn was nominated for an Oscar.

During the pursuit, Scottie ends up in a mental hospital. After he is released, he continues his pursuit, which leads to the top of a bell tower. The audience is treated to a tour of San Francisco as Scottie follows Madeleine's trail and falls in love with her in the process.
