One day Adam leaves the shelter to buy supplies; he meets the worldly Eve Rustikov (Alicia Silverstone) who helps him buy needed shelter supplies, and love blooms.

  An unfunded team of university researchers–including Bill Harding (Bill Paxton), his soon-to-be ex-wife Jo (Helen Hunt), and Bill's new fiancee Melissa (Jami Gertz)–chase tornadoes to obtain scientific data useful for prediction and control of the deadly twisters. While the love triangle lacks substance, the special effects of tornadoes are excellent and make this a movie worth watching. Academy Award nominations were received for Best Special Effects and Sound.
