In this remake of "The Big Deal on Madonna Street" (1958), the scene shifts to Cleveland where a prison inmate, Cosimo (Luis Guzman), thinks he has the means for a perfect heist. He sends his girlfriend, Rosalind (Patricia Clarkson), on a search for someone willing to play the patsy for a price. But her search leads to a bunch of loose-lipped bums who all want in on the heist.
