Hope (Heather Graham) had left Cleveland and moved to Los Angeles hoping to become a successful recording artist. But that dream was not to be, and Hope is now working the night shift at a diner. Now, successions of quirky customers enter the diner–each one representing good and bad phases of her life. In this second (and last) sequel to "Resident Evil," which was based on a video game series, the dreaded virus that turns living creatures and humans into flesh-eating zombies has been released to the countryside by the evil Umbrella Corporation. Alice (Milla Jovovich), who has been genetically altered and has superhuman strength, along with the few remaining survivors, heads for Alaska where the virus has not yet been released.
