This results in the whole town being threatened by evil offspring of the lovable creature.

But, it is too late, the Gremlin reproduces a new generation of Gremlins, and their leader Brain Gremlin (voice of Tony Randall) is plotting an escape after dark so that they can wreak havoc on New York. Lots of funny stuff with the gore.
