Meanwhile, Edward falls in love with Jane and asks her to marry him, but Bertha ruins their plans, and Jane moves away. Later, Bertha sets fire to the house, and Edward is blinded by the fire. When Jane learns about the fire, she returns to Edward and convinces him that she loves him.
